Success in the US 14-Jul-2009

Any Translation, a website localisation, translation and website design specialist recently took part in the Valet Program conference, held in Virginia. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), is the state’s economic development marketing organisation and Any Translation, the first UK based partner of VEDP used the latest international communication technologies to help them talk to 30 US companies about Website Localisation. Using WebEx as their presentation platform and a short introductory video, Any Translation was able to talk to the program members from across the ocean! The presentation offered by Any Translation was to help the partners understand the challenges faced when localising a website to increase international trade and partnership development. Some of the key areas covered were International Domain Acquisition, translation vs. localisation, multilingual SEO (search engine optimisation) and the differences in advertising across the globe.

Leslie Parpart, the Valet Program Manager felt that the presentation was a success also “The Virginia companies participating in the VALET Program are very interested in finding ways to differentiate themselves from their competitors. Being able to hear directly from an expert based in Europe about ways to improve their web presence internationally was invaluable. The VALET Program is fortunate to have a relationship with Any Translation,” said Leslie Parpart, VALET Program Manager, “Utilizing web-based conferencing demonstrated for the companies a way in which they can add to their on-going relationships with their internationally partners from their home offices.”
